Q. What are the ingredients and additives?
Our baby food does not contain any additives and is made by cooking only ingredients such as rice and vegetables. Since we prioritize the health of babies and do not use any preservatives, our food has a shorter expiration date than commercially available baby food.
Q. Why is hot water bath recommended?
Some people may think that boiling water is troublesome when it comes to cooking in a water bath. The advantages of cooking in a water bath are that it heats food evenly and that you can defrost multiple foods at once.
Thawing in hot water minimizes the loss of nutritional value and flavor. If the 15g packet is too much, break it into 1/2 or 1/3 portions. In that case, we recommend heating it in the microwave.
If you use a small amount, it is easy for the cooking to become uneven, so add a small amount of liquid (water, stock, milk, etc.) and heat for a short period of time while checking the condition.
Q: What is the shipping cost?
Shipping costs are 1,210 yen (tax included) nationwide. Because we send the products by frozen mail, the shipping fee is inevitably higher. We appreciate your understanding. Also, we are currently unable to deliver to remote islands.
Q. What is the expiration date?
Although it is indicated for each product, the expiration date is 3 months from the date of manufacture when stored frozen. You can adjust the amount you use by folding the paste in half before thawing. Once thawed, close the opening of the opened baby food with a bag clip and store in the refrigerator. Please provide the product on the same day after thawing, if possible.
Q. I'm worried about fish bones. Please tell me how to dispose of them.
All fish are deboned by hand before being delivered to you. This is done by a fish specialist who takes great care to ensure safety, but there is still a chance that small bones may be present, so please check before feeding it to children.

Q. I'm worried about food allergies.
Hiyori's Japanese rice does not contain any specific raw materials (shrimp, crab, wheat, buckwheat, eggs, milk, peanuts, walnuts). It does contain "pork" which is a specific raw material. This product is manufactured in a factory that also produces products containing "pork".
Q. Can I have my item gift wrapped?
Baby food gift sets can be gift-wrapped for 55 yen (tax included) or gift-wrapped + gift tag for 110 yen (tax included). Please select this option when ordering.
*For outer wrapping only, the only inscription available is "Congratulations."
Q. Is it okay if my child refuses to eat any baby food?
Even children who used to dislike baby food gobble down Hiyori's Japanese food products, which have been well received. Of course, this is not always the case, but our products place more importance on the taste of the ingredients as they are than general baby food (no pesticides, chemical fertilizers, coloring agents, or preservatives), and were created with the desire to support busy mothers in any way possible.
The vegetables are unseasoned and just left as is, but the rich flavor of the vegetables themselves is so delicious that even adults will want to have another bite. Since there is no unnecessary seasoning, it can also be adapted to suit children.
Q. Are the vegetables, fish, and pork used in Hiyori's Japanese meals domestically produced?
・We use domestically grown vegetables that are grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
・The sea bream used is the finest red sea bream farmed in Kitaura Town, Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture.
・The caviar fish is farmed and raised in the mountainous areas of Miyazaki Prefecture.
・We use carefully selected pork raised in Nobeoka city, Miyazaki prefecture.
About the Baby Food Select Plan (Subscription)
Q. Do I need to change the baby food plan depending on my baby's age?
Our baby food plan will deliver the best baby food for each month of age. There is no need for you to change the contents of your order. However, we can also accommodate requests to start the baby food earlier or later depending on the child's development. For specific inquiries, please contact us using the inquiry form or by phone.
Q. I want to change my baby food plan.
If you would like to change from the "Baby Food Plan for 5 Months and Up" to the "Baby Food Plan for 8 Months and Up," please contact us using the monthly age change request form for regular deliveries or by phone. For age changes and bundling of regular deliveries, please contact us by the 10th if you currently receive your delivery on the 15th, or by the 25th if you receive your delivery at the end of the month. To skip or stop delivery, please contact us using the inquiry form or by phone.
*The deadline may vary depending on public holidays, etc.
*Even after you request a change to the age in months, the age in months listed under "Item Name" in the subscription purchase notification email will not change from the time of your initial order.
Q. How do I cancel the baby food plan?
Since the baby food plan is basically a one-time purchase, cancellations are not accepted. If you wish to cancel for any reason, please contact us via the inquiry form or by phone.
Q. My child hasn't started eating solid food yet. When can I apply?
We recommend starting from 5 months of age, but depending on the child, the start date may vary. Please use it according to your schedule. If you would like to start from 5 months of age, it will be smoother if you apply when the child is around 4 months of age.
Q. I want to change the delivery address for my regular delivery
You can change the delivery address for your regular delivery by contacting us via the inquiry form or by phone.
*The membership information page is customer information, and even if you change your address on this page, the delivery address for your subscription will not change.
To change your delivery address, please contact us by the 5th if your order is currently being delivered on the 15th, or by the 20th if your order is being delivered at the end of the month.

Q. What should I do if my child grows too big and one regular delivery is not enough?
Some of our customers have purchased two or three sets of regular deliveries, and many of them also purchase additional items such as vegetables, fish, and rice ball fillings.
The fish series has been especially popular, and many people request that we ship our regular deliveries of sea bream, caviar fish, and other products together. The rice ball fillings can be eaten by children from 9 months of age, so we have also heard from people that siblings share the products.
Hiyori's Japanese food is often used for busy morning meals and weekday lunches. I get the impression that many people use homemade baby food on weekends and Hiyori's Japanese food on weekdays.
